Dorothy was not at all sure why she'd been included in this meeting.

As far as she could tell, it was an entirely standard-procedure briefing on the state of the empire, with representatives from the major cities and towns of each of the four countries of Oz gathering in the Royal Conference Chamber at the Emerald Palace to inform Ozma and her officials of important current events. It was mostly policy and dispute settlements, and almost never anything Dorothy could remotely call interesting. She'd yawned once, about twenty minutes in, and Ozma had given her a look that she was positive would show up in a nightmare later that night.

Sure, it had been a while since she'd actually spent much time in Oz, and sure, it was nice knowing what was going on, but to be perfectly honest (and Dorothy always was), nothing much ever changed in Oz anyway, so what was Ozma so ticked about?

Maybe Jellia had spilled the beans about her unexpected return visit just after the last time she left. If Ozma found out she'd brought a stranger to Oz, one who hadn't come by accident, that'd certainly explain her current foul attitude. But it had been a few days into this trip already, and surely if the Empress knew, she'd have said something already? Glinda had kept her mouth shut, that was for sure. Especially with regard to all the myriad questions Dorothy had asked.

Her mind buzzed with them, and the longer she stayed in Oz, the worse she wanted to know the answers to each and every one. Deciding she'd rather be bored to tears, she tried her best to concentrate on what the mayor of Munchkinville had to say, and turn her brain off as much as she possibly could.

HELLO MY KEYBOARD IS FIXED :3 My hiatus is over now, officially. Well, technically my laptop was fixed yesterday evening, but last night I was sort of................ drunk, so I'll be tagging people throughout today. AND I'LL BE ABLE TO CHAT ON AIM WITHOUT WANTING TO KILL THINGS. So. Yay :3

If you didn't know otherwise, you'd probably be surprised to find out that the Library is one of Dorothy's favorite places in the TARDIS, but it's true. When she's with the younger version of the Doctor, on the TARDIS that's wooden and gothic, she can often be found there, stretched out on a leather couch, surrounded by flickering candles and a pile of books as tall as she is. Sometimes he'll join her there, chattering away as he rummages through the stacks, attempting some sort of organization, being fully aware that the fairy tale, engrossed in her book, isn't really listening. But it isn't about actually talking, it's about just being together. It's comfortable, and it feels like home. Not the room-- sharing it with someone she cares about.

When she's on the other TARDIS, organic and glowing, it's different. The Library is deeper inside the ship, through twisting corridor after labyrinthine hall, and getting there is like arriving at a great art-nouveau cathedral, with a ceiling domed and tall as the sky, lights seeming to hover like fairies in the air itself. The shelves seem to grow from the walls and the floor. All the actual furniture looks mismatched and old, patched and worn, as if it's all been rescued from the curb at one time or another. It does have the good fortune of all being supremely comfortable, though, so there's been many an occasion where Dorothy finds herself curled up on the beat-up old brown couch, very nearly dozing off with her nose in a book.

Today is one of those days.

There's nothing wrong with that, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, but alone? On the TARDIS? When there's adventures to be had? That's just a little sad, don't you think? Dorothy might think so, if she weren't about thiiiis close to nodding off. The TARDIS is ever so helpful, dimming the lights. Or is it just her eyes closing?

I've given my character a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now she has to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my character questions about anything and everything and she will truthfully answer it. So, go ahead and ask what you want. She can't beat around the bush with half-truths.

And considering half-truths are her her bread and butter, this should be pretty fun. QUESTION AWAY.
